Ayurvedic is a holistic approach to hair care using natural herbs and oils.  It has been an effective cure for hair fall since ancient times. It originates from Indian and many of the common herbs used are from there as well. The most popular ones are Amla, Aritha, Ashwagandha, Bhringraj, Brahmi, Henna, Hibiscus, Neem, and Shikaikai.

Ayurveda is an ancient healing system originating in India.  It intersects with beauty because many of the herbs that are used to treat ailments have done wonders for the hair and skin for thousands of years. There has been extensive scientific research that explains why these herbs work so well on the hair and skin.

Absolutely. We use clean wholesome ingredients in all of our products that are safe for both toddlers and kids. Planted's owner currently use the entire line of products on her 3 toddler son's hair. She started using it on their hair at 6 months old.

We use preservatives, such as Optiphen Plus paraben and formaldehyde-free preservative to maintain the performance, quality and freshness of our formulas. We refrain from using potentially harmful preservatives or chemical stabilizers, the color or scent of our products may change over time and this is completely normal due to the nature of essential oils and natural extracts we use in our formulas.

Phenoxyethanol a preservative used for skincare products which has been deemed a safe ingredient. Planted uses Phenoxyethanol in some of our products, and the ones that do use it, contain less than a .05% concentration of it in our formulations. The main purposes of Phenoxyethanol is for the purposes of keeping bacteria out of our organic ingredients. Without a good preservative, the bacteria that can grow on your hair product is more harmful than the chemicals themselves. What makes Phenoxyethanol so valuable and healthy, is that only a small amount is required to fight bacteria - that way, there is are more potent ingredients in our products, as opposed to preservative. 

All repairs will be complete within 2 months of when we receive them.

Several of our products contain organic ingredients; however, none of our products are certified organic.

We never, ever test our products on animals period. 

Planted has a shelf life of 12 months from opening.

For US domestic orders, including handling and shipping, you can expect to receive your order within 5-7 business days.

We charge USPS priority flat rate shipping charge on all orders. This may vary somewhat for certain orders.

All order changes and cancellations must be requested within 24 hours from being placed, otherwise an order cancellation charge of 15% will be applied. Please contact us as soon as possible at hello@plantedhaircare.com to request a cancellation. If the order has not yet been processed, your credit card will not be charged. If the order has been processed, fulfilled and shipped, please refer to our Return Policy.
